Building Better Men was established in response to a growing body of evidence showing that many existing health and personal development initiatives fail to adequately engage men. Drawing on academic research, professional practice, and direct experience of working with young men across a range of settings, we created Finding Yourself Again, our flaghsip programme, to bridge the gap between theory and practice. From its inception, Building Better Men has focused on designing interventions that recognise the complexity of people’s lives, the influence of social context, and the importance of identity, autonomy, and meaning in behaviour change. The organisation continues to evolve through ongoing reflection, research engagement, and collaboration.
